Harpy eagles are disappearing from parts of the Amazon

A study by biologists from Brazil, South Africa and UK indicated that, to survive, the birds need at least 50% of preserved forest in their range, where they nest and forage. Due to deforestation, the world’s largest eagle is disappearing from parts of the Amazon.
