{"id":110420,"date":"2013-03-20T15:49:13","date_gmt":"2013-03-20T18:49:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/revistapesquisa.fapesp.br\/?p=110420"},"modified":"2013-09-24T17:16:38","modified_gmt":"2013-09-24T20:16:38","slug":"new-members-of-the-academy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/revistapesquisa.fapesp.br\/en\/new-members-of-the-academy\/","title":{"rendered":"New members of the Academy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On November 27, the Academy of Sciences of the state of S\u00e3o Paulo (Aciesp) held an induction ceremony for 97 new members, including Jos\u00e9 Arana Varela, CEO of the FAPESP Executive Board and professor at the Chemistry Institute of the Universidade Estadual Paulist (Unesp), and Hernan Chaimovich, coordinator of the Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (RIDC) at FAPESP and professor at the Chemistry Institute of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (USP).\u00a0 Vanderlan Bolzani, member of the coordinating committee of the Biota-FAPESP program (Brazilian Biodiversity Research program) and director of the Innovation Agency of Unesp, and Dora Fix Ventura, vice-president of the Brazilian Society for the Advancement of Science<em> <\/em>(SBPC), were also inducted.
