{"id":118712,"date":"2013-05-22T17:44:41","date_gmt":"2013-05-22T20:44:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/revistapesquisa.fapesp.br\/?p=118712"},"modified":"2013-05-22T17:44:41","modified_gmt":"2013-05-22T20:44:41","slug":"the-colors-of-livestock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/revistapesquisa.fapesp.br\/en\/the-colors-of-livestock\/","title":{"rendered":"The colors of livestock"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-118714\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/revistapesquisa.fapesp.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/003_Fotolab_196.jpg\" width=\"290\" height=\"259\" \/>What appears to be \u201cfireworks\u201d over the map of the state of Mato Grosso is just another way to identify the state\u2019s most productive livestock areas.\u00a0 Each point represents a municipality in Mato Grosso, each color shows a different livestock production zone, and the size of the point indicates its importance.\u00a0 The thickness of the lines that connect the points is in direct proportion to the number of animals that move between two municipalities.\u00a0 The data represent livestock movement in 2007 and are part of the doctoral studies conducted by Jos\u00e9 Henrique Grisi-Filho.
