This year, the award focuses on the Institution category and will be awarded to the institution or communication media that has made scientific and technological knowledge and the related advances accessible to the public. The award is granted in honor of physician, researcher, journalist and educator Jos\u00e9 Reis, who passed away in 2002, at the age of 94.
