The open access platform provides information on rankings obtained in evaluations of facilities such as laboratories, athletic fields and libraries, as well as the socioeconomic conditions of students. \u201cIn addition to giving the public unrestricted access to information, our contribution is to aggregate the information by school. Citizens can drill down to a school that interests them and easily obtain data on the school\u2019s history and its operating conditions,\u201d says Marta Arretche, CEM coordinator and professor at the University of S\u00e3o Paulo School of Philosophy, Literature and Human Sciences (FFLCH-USP). According to Arretche, the platform used the combination of knowledge in the field of research on social sciences, geoprocessing, demography, statistics and programming.
