The event took place May 8-13, 2016 in Arizona, attended by 1,700 students from 77 countries. The Brazilian delegation submitted 18 projects, nine of which were selected at the 14<sup>th<\/sup> Brazil Science and Engineering Fair (Febrace) in S\u00e3o Paulo. \u201cThis was the first time that Brazilian students won so many prizes at this event. Science fairs encourage future researchers,\u201d says Roseli de Deus Lopes, who serves as Febrace coordinator.
