In one of the award areas \u2013 exact sciences and technologies \u2013 Jos\u00e9 Vicente Caixeta Filho, researcher and former director of the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (ESALQ-USP), was recognized in the Life and Work category for his efforts in the area of agroindustrial logistics. In the Youth category, which awards researchers under the age of 35, the winner was Hugo Miguel Varela Repolho, professor of logistics and transportation at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC\/Rio). In the field of agricultural sciences, Sebasti\u00e3o de Campos Valadares Filho of the Federal University of Vi\u00e7osa (UFV) won the award in the Life and Work category. His work is dedicated to animal nutrition with emphasis on evaluating feed for ruminants.
