The group analyzed the number of cases and deaths recorded in 25 regions of the country between April and December 2021. They found that infection by the novel coronavirus was much more frequent among the unvaccinated (348 cases per 100,000 people) than the vaccinated (88 cases per 100,000 people) and people who have had a booster dose (25 cases per 100,000 people). The difference was even greater when it came to deaths.
