The 32<sup>nd<\/sup> edition of Brazil\u2019s foremost award for scientific disseminatoin included the Institution and Media Communication category. The Foundation provides a number of scientific dissemination services, such as <em>Revista Coletiva<\/em> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.coletiva.org\" target=\"_blank\">www.coletiva.org<\/a>), an online publication for high school teachers and students, university students, researchers and people interested in science; <em>Pesquisa Escolar<\/em> <em>on-line<\/em>, created in 2002, whose main objectives are to divulge science and support the educational activities of Fundaj\u2019s <em>Blanche Knopf <\/em>library; and the <em>Homem do Nordeste <\/em>[Northeastern Man] museum, a which showcases the scientific and cultural heritage of Brazil\u2019s northeast. The Joaquim Nabuco Foundation, previously named <em>Instituto Joaquim Nabuco de Pesquisas Sociais,<\/em> was established by sociologist Gilberto Freyre in 1949. The Institute for Advanced Studies of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo, S\u00e3o Carlos campus, in S\u00e3o Paulo State, won an Honorable Mention for its <em>Ci\u00eancia Web<\/em> science project, a portal of the Multimedia Agency for the Dissemination of Science and Education. Under the coordination of professor Yvonne Primerano Mascarenhas, <em>Ci\u00eancia Web<\/em> prepares videos to divulge science and education that are produced by public high schools students from the city of S\u00e3o Carlos, with the help of students taking journalism courses or sound and image courses. The objective of the videos is to support the teaching of science and to divulge university student productions.
