In the first 10 years, they averaged 42% of the total; in the last 10 years, they averaged 53%. In 2003, they passed the 50% mark for the first time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<picture data-tablet=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/RPF-dados-2023-03-info-3-1140.png\" data-tablet_size=\"670x400\" alt=\"\">\n    <source srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/RPF-dados-2023-03-info-1-1140.png\" media=\"(min-width: 1920px)\" \/>\n    <source srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/RPF-dados-2023-03-info-3-1140.png\" media=\"(min-width: 1140px)\" \/>\n    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"responsive-img\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/RPF-dados-2023-03-info-1-760.png\" \/>\n  <\/picture>\n<ul>\n<li>In the last 10 years, the success rate of female applicants progressed similarly to male researchers. Although their success rate was slightly lower than the men\u2019s, the difference was very small and fell from 5% in 2017 and 2018 to 2% in 2022<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<picture data-tablet=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/RPF-dados-2023-03-info-2-760.png\" data-tablet_size=\"760x350\" alt=\"\">\n    <source srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/RPF-dados-2023-03-info-2-760.png\" media=\"(min-width: 1920px)\" \/>\n    <source srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/RPF-dados-2023-03-info-2-760.png\" media=\"(min-width: 1140px)\" \/>\n    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"responsive-img\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/RPF-dados-2023-03-info-2640.png\" \/>\n  <\/picture>\n<ul>\n<li>Female researchers were more successful in six of the nine main fields of knowledge analyzed over the period.
