Ais\u00e9n Etcheverry, head of the MCTCI, Ver\u00f3nica Silva, undersecretary for children, and Andrea Osorio, head of general education at the Ministry of Education, presided over the Council&#8217;s inauguration ceremony, held at the Pal\u00e1cio de La Moneda (the country\u2019s government headquarters) at the end of June. \u201cAdults are used to developing public policies, programs, and initiatives believing that we have the answers to the needs, interests, and ideas of children and adolescents, and we rarely take on the challenge of implementing more and better spaces for active listening,\u201d said Etcheverry in a public statement.
