Known as decarboxylase or OleTP<sub>RN<\/sub>, it comes from the bacteria <em>Rothia nasimurium <\/em>and converts fatty acids, essential components of fats, into a class of hydrocarbons called alkenes or olefins, an intermediary in the production of this type of fuel.
