The first is set to be bestowed in mid-2024. \u201cThis new award will shine a spotlight on all scientific, technical, and professional publications\u2014an entire sector that is fundamental to the training of human resources in the country, which was not really considered in the traditional award,\u201d said Marcelo Knobel, a physicist from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and curator of the first academic award, on the <em>Pesquisa Brasil <\/em>podcast. \u201cThe idea is that it involves all fields of knowledge and some special awards, for illustration and scientific communication, for example.\u201d He considers the initiative necessary to the country&#8217;s development and is in the process of establishing a panel of judges and defining the details of the selection process, which will choose the winners from books published in 2023 by Brazilians or foreign authors who live in the country.
