In 2022, there were 2,521,681 jobs in these sectors in Brazil, representing 4.7% of the total. After a period of contraction between 2014 and 2016, employment in these KISs grew intensely, especially in 2021 and 2022<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><div class='overflow-responsive-img' style='text-align:center'><picture data-tablet=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/RPF-dados-2025-02-info1-ING-DESK.png\" data-tablet_size=\"1939x511\" alt=\"\">\n    <source srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/RPF-dados-2025-02-info1-ING-DESK.png\" media=\"(min-width: 1920px)\" \/>\n    <source srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/RPF-dados-2025-02-info1-ING-DESK.png\" media=\"(min-width: 1140px)\" \/>\n    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"responsive-img\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/RPF-dados-2025-02-info1-ING-MOBIL.png\" \/>\n  <\/picture><\/div><div class=\"post-content sequence\">\n<ul>\n<li>The high technological intensity industry that creates the most jobs is information technology services, which accounts for almost 25% of the jobs available in KISs. In addition to being the largest, it has also grown more than any other in recent years. Among medium-high technological industries, automotive manufacturing leads with 17.5% of jobs in the KISs<\/li>\n<li>Even with regional deconcentration of economic activities in recent decades, KISs continue to be heavily concentrated in S\u00e3o Paulo. This is reflected in the employment data for these sectors (<em>graph, below<\/em>): of the 2.5 million jobs in 2022, 1.1 million (44.4%) were located in S\u00e3o Paulo<\/li>\n<li>The same graph shows that the two states that follow S\u00e3o Paulo were Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Sul, with around 200,000 jobs each.
