{"id":567166,"date":"2025-11-14T17:39:41","date_gmt":"2025-11-14T20:39:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/revistapesquisa.fapesp.br\/?p=567166"},"modified":"2025-11-14T17:39:41","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T20:39:41","slug":"international-scientific-collaborations-with-france","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/revistapesquisa.fapesp.br\/en\/international-scientific-collaborations-with-france\/","title":{"rendered":"International scientific collaborations with France"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>Studies of scientific production dynamics indicate that articles written collaboratively by authors from different countries receive more citations<\/li>\n<li>The graphs below show the numbers of scientific articles<sup>1<\/sup> published by international collaborations<sup>2<\/sup> in Brazil and in S\u00e3o Paulo, with the proportion involving authors from France highlighted. In relative terms, such collaborations are higher in S\u00e3o Paulo than in Brazil over the entire period, at 11.7% and 10.6% respectively in 2024<\/li>\n<li>The data show that of articles published by Brazilians with international collaboration, 45.6% include authors originally from S\u00e3o Paulo. This figure increases to 51.8% when only considering articles with coauthors residing in France, showing the important role the country plays in S\u00e3o Paulo&#8217;s collaborations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><div class='overflow-responsive-img' style='text-align:center'><picture data-tablet=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/RPF-dados-2025-05-info1-ING-DESK.png\" data-tablet_size=\"1939x766\" alt=\"Articles with international collaboration\">\n    <source srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/RPF-dados-2025-05-info1-ING-DESK.png\" media=\"(min-width: 1920px)\" \/>\n    <source srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/RPF-dados-2025-05-info1-ING-DESK.png\" media=\"(min-width: 1140px)\" \/>\n    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"responsive-img\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/RPF-dados-2025-05-info1-ING-MOBILE.png\" \/>\n  <\/picture><\/div><div class=\"post-content sequence\">\n<ul>\n<li>The graph below shows that the number of citations per article<sup>3<\/sup> is much higher when the authors are located in different countries than when all authors are from the publishing country\/region<\/li>\n<li>For articles published in collaboration by Brazil and France, the citation impact was close to 3 in 2023.
