Graeff replaces economist Carlos Am\u00e9rico Pacheco, from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). The announcement was published in the <em>Official Gazette of the State of S\u00e3o Paulo <\/em>on August 27. Graeff is a professor in the Department of Physics of the School of Sciences at S\u00e3o Paulo State University (UNESP), Bauru campus, where he also served as dean of research. Over his career, he has been a member of the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES), general coordinator of strategic programs and infrastructure for FAPESP\u2019s scientific board, head of higher education for the S\u00e3o Paulo State Department of Science, Technology, and Innovation, and a member of the board of directors at the Institute of Technological Research (IPT).
