Por primera vez en cinco a\u00f1os, el pa\u00eds present\u00f3 un descenso en relaci\u00f3n con el a\u00f1o anterior, cuando hab\u00eda registrado 280 presentaciones, como revela el informe divulgado por la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de Propiedad Intelectual (Ompi). Una realidad opuesta es la que presentan China y Corea del Sur, quienes experimentaron un significativo crecimiento en los dep\u00f3sitos de patentes en relaci\u00f3n con el a\u00f1o 2005. Corea del Sur deposit\u00f3 5935 pedidos en 2006, un aumento del 26,5% y se situ\u00f3 en la 4\u00aa colocaci\u00f3n, superando a Gran Breta\u00f1a y a Francia. China, con 3910 pedidos, un aumento del 56,8%, dej\u00f3 atr\u00e1s a Suiza y Suecia, y figur\u00f3 en el 8\u00ba lugar del ranking.
