La iniciativa, anunciada el mes pasado por la gobernaci\u00f3n paulista, es fruto de una asociaci\u00f3n con la Secretar\u00eda de Agricultura y Abastecimiento del estado, y formar\u00e1 parte de la Red de Bioenerg\u00eda de la USP, que apunta a atraer a investigadores del \u00e1rea de todos los campi de la universidad y a articular actividades de investigaci\u00f3n sobre aplicaci\u00f3n, producci\u00f3n y uso de energ\u00eda a partir de fuentes renovables. En la estaci\u00f3n se desarrollar\u00e1n trabajos, clases y estudios de campo, principalmente en experimentos con ca\u00f1a de az\u00facar. Se trata del primer espacio volcado a la investigaci\u00f3n en bioenerg\u00eda fuera de la sede de la Esalq en Piracicaba. En el predio se instalar\u00e1n el Polo de Aplicaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo de Tecnolog\u00edas de Agroenerg\u00eda y Biomasa y el Centro de Ense\u00f1anza y Capacitaci\u00f3n en Agroenerg\u00eda.
