Se\u00f1ales qu\u00edmicas que se corresponden con olores ambientales activan neuronas dispuestas en haces en el interior de las antenas. Por esa v\u00eda, los est\u00edmulos llegan a conglomerados de neuronas similares a esferas, los glom\u00e9rulos olfativos, especializados en interpretar ese tipo de informaci\u00f3n.
