Promovida por el Ministerio de Desarrollo, Industria y Comercio Exterior (MDIC), el premio se divide en dos categor\u00edas. Una de ellas va a seleccionar proyectos en las \u00e1reas social, econ\u00f3mica, tecnol\u00f3gica y ambiental. El primero colocado recibe un premio por valor de 30 mil reales, el segundo, de 20 mil reales, y el tercero, de 15 mil reales. La otra categor\u00eda ir\u00e1 a homenajear el esfuerzo de personas o instituciones comprometidas con el desarrollo de la regi\u00f3n. El veredicto ser\u00e1 dado el d\u00eda 16 de septiembre.
