El bi\u00f3logo Gledson Bianconi, de la Universidad Estadual Paulista (Unesp) de R\u00edo Claro, y sus colegas aromatizaron redes para la captura de murci\u00e9lagos con aceites esenciales de frutos en \u00e1reas de cultivo a 50 metros de la margen de una floresta. Mostraron as\u00ed que carnadas olorosas son eficaces para atraer a los mam\u00edferos voladores, cuyas heces contienen semillas de varias especies de plantas nativas de la floresta. Como muchas especies s\u00f3lo germinan despu\u00e9s de pasar por un tratamiento digestivo, la ayuda voladora no s\u00f3lo ampl\u00eda el alcance de las semillas, sino tambi\u00e9n puede ser esencial para su factibilidad.
