El nuevo sistema de control de la temperatura mediante la energ\u00eda geot\u00e9rmica se probar\u00e1 en el edificio experimental del Centro de Innovaci\u00f3n en Construcci\u00f3n Sostenible, el Cics Living Lab, que se est\u00e1 construyendo en la Escuela Polit\u00e9cnica de la USP, en S\u00e3o Paulo. Sistemas similares han ayudado a reducir el consumo de energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica en edificaciones europeas y estadounidenses desde hace al menos 20 a\u00f1os. Para adaptar esta tecnolog\u00eda a las condiciones del clima y al suelo de Brasil, la ingeniera Thaise Morais y su directora del doctorado, Cristina Tsuha, docente de la Eesc, realizaron una serie de ensayos y mediciones de campo en S\u00e3o Carlos.
