M. <em>et al<\/em>. <strong>Communications Biology<\/strong>, 2024<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<p>En otro paso m\u00e1s en pos de la sustituci\u00f3n de los animales en las pruebas de laboratorio de cosm\u00e9ticos y medicamentos, cient\u00edficos brasile\u00f1os del Laboratorio Nacional de Biociencias (LNBio) del Centro Nacional de Investigaciones en Energ\u00eda y Materiales (CNPEM) de Campinas, produjeron en laboratorio un an\u00e1logo completo de la piel humana. La bi\u00f3loga Ana Carolina Figueira y su equipo utilizaron una combinaci\u00f3n de tres tipos de c\u00e9lulas humanas (queratinocitos, fibroblastos y c\u00e9lulas madre mesenquimales). El proceso de impresi\u00f3n se llev\u00f3 a cabo utilizando biotinta de col\u00e1geno, cuya consistencia es l\u00edquida a 4 grados Celsius (\u00baC) y que, tras incub\u00e1rsela a 37 \u00baC, adquiere la consistencia del tejido epitelial. Una vez impresas, las capas de piel se diferenciaron, constituyendo la epidermis, con su superficie impermeable, y la dermis. Las c\u00e9lulas madre se transformaron en adiposas, formando la hipodermis.
