Graduado en la Escuela Polit\u00e9cnica de la USP en 1956 y doctorado en ingenier\u00eda qu\u00edmica en dicha universidad, Landi es post doctorado del Laboratorio Nacional de Ingenier\u00eda Civil, en Lisboa, Portugal, y del Building Research Establishment, en Garston, Inglaterra.
