El trabajo puede resultar en la creaci\u00f3n de drogas contra el mal de Chagas y la leishmaniosis, entre otras enfermedades. Andrew Simpson, del Instituto Ludwig de Investigaciones sobre el C\u00e1ncer, coordinar\u00e1 el proyecto, que le costar\u00e1 al Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda y al Consejo Nacional de Desarrollo Cient\u00edfico y Tecnol\u00f3gico (CNPq) 8 millones de reales.
