El Instituto Pasteur de Montevideo, construido en un \u00e1rea de 3 mil metros cuadrados y fruto de una inversi\u00f3n de 8 millones de d\u00f3lares, va a especializar se en el estudio del c\u00e1ncer y del envejecimiento, y en el \u00e1rea farmac\u00e9utica humana y animal. \u201cEl centro tiene una funci\u00f3n muy clara en nuestro pa\u00eds, que es dotar de instrumentos al mundo acad\u00e9mico e industrial que nos permitan pasar para una nueva etapa\u201d, dijo a la radio El Espectador el director ejecutivo del instituto, Guillermo Dighiero. Otro objetivo es formar j\u00f3venes investigadores y propiciar la vuelta de cient\u00edficos uruguayos que\u00a0 fueron a vivir en los Estados Unidos y en Europa.
