Era el <em>Prestosuchus chiniquensis<\/em>, representante de un grupo ancestral de dinosaurios que vivi\u00f3 en el Tri\u00e1sico, hace entre 250 millones y 205 millones de a\u00f1os. El f\u00f3sil casi completo desenterrado por investigadores de la Universidad Luterana de Brasil (Ulbra), de R\u00edo Grande do Sul, permite calcular que el reptil med\u00eda alrededor de siete metros de longitud y pesaba alrededor de 900 kilogramos.
