Dicho \u00edndice, creado por el Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo en Telecomunicaciones (CPqD) y Momento Editorial, evalu\u00f3 el nivel de digitalizaci\u00f3n de 75 municipios que utilizan las tecnolog\u00edas de la informaci\u00f3n y comunicaci\u00f3n (TICs) como estrategia de apuntalamiento de la inclusi\u00f3n social. Hubo peque\u00f1os municipios que tambi\u00e9n calificaron bien en el \u00edndice. Entre los 10 primeros lugares se encuentra Ibirapuit\u00e3, localidad <em>ga\u00facha<\/em> de 4 mil habitantes, Tarum\u00e3, en S\u00e3o Paulo, con 13 mil residentes, y Tau\u00e1, en Cear\u00e1 (55 mil personas).
