Antiviral plastic

Nanox

Researchers from São Paulo–based company Nanox have developed an adhesive plastic capable of inactivating 99.8% of novel coronavirus particles in two minutes. The material’s structure contains silver and silica microparticles. The adhesive plastic was designed to cover door handles, handrails, elevator buttons, and touch screens. This is Nanox’s second antiviral plastic material on the market. The company previously developed a reusable mask made of a flexible plastic composed of silica and silver.
