Digitization advances in Brazilian industry

  • The use of digital information in Brazil’s extractive and processing industries increased across nearly all business areas/functions
  • The industry with the highest percentage of digitized companies was business
  • The fastest growth in the number of digitized companies occurred in the production and development of products, processes, and services
  • The proportion of companies using digital technologies is higher among medium and large enterprises. Among smaller companies1 the most digitized sectors were the business sector (99%) and sales (93.4%)
  • In 2024, 89.1% of surveyed companies used at least one of the technologies shown in the graph
  • The most significant growth was seen in the adoption of AI
  • Across all business sizes, cloud computing was the most widely used technology in 2024
  • The main benefit of using advanced digital technologies was increased efficiency
