Nanox Hidrocell

Nanometric oxides

Equipment for use in the laboratory for obtaining highly pure oxides on a nanometric scale has been developed by Nanox Tecnologia, from São Carlos, in São Paulo state. Nanometric oxides (oxygen compounds), a raw material used for producing paints, ceramic materials and compounds for microelectronics and catalysts, as well as various other industrial applications, are on a scale of measurement that goes from 1 to 100 nanometers. Called the Nanox Hidrocell, the equipment works like a micro-controlled reactor that can be used for preparing various types of compound. To obtain highly pure oxides a hydrothermal synthesis process is used, which is characterized by the control of temperature and pressure variables. With its size reduced tests can be carried out with fewer reagents.
