Registration for the 29th José Reis Science Communication Award is open until May 11th. This award, granted every year by the Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico(CNPq/MCT), is granted in acknowledgement of the contributions of institutions, researchers and journalists to science, technology, research and innovation presented to the general public. This year, the award focuses on the Institution category and will be awarded to the institution or communication media that has made scientific and technological knowledge and the related advances accessible to the public. The award is granted in honor of physician, researcher, journalist and educator José Reis, who passed away in 2002, at the age of 94. More information can be obtained at www.cnpq.br/premios/josereis.
