laurabeatrizEstação Ciência, an interactive center for science communication, linked to the University of São Paulo, inaugurated a permanent exhibit on Brazilian ecosystems. Named “Estação Natureza,” the exhibit is installed in five train wagons at the entrance to the center, which is located in São Paulo City’s Lapa neighborhood. The exhibition offers audiovisual information on the ecosystems of the coastal region, of the AmazonRain Forest, of the Pantanal wetlands, of the Cerrado tropical savanna, and of the Caatinga region. Each wagon has information on Brazilian landscapes presented in an educational and playful way, by means of smells, temperature simulations, models of animals and projections of images. The exhibition is sponsored by O Boticário Foundation for Nature Protection.
