Daniel BuenoFAPESP and the University of Michigan have announced a new call for proposals for a researcher and PhD grant recipient exchange program, within the scope of the scientific cooperation agreement between the two institutions. The call is open to research proposals from the fields of medicine, health sciences, human and social sciences, arts, natural sciences, natural resources and the environment, engineering, kinesiology, and information science. FAPESP and the American university will each provide up to $10,000 in funding per selected proposal per year to cover mobility expenses. In the state of São Paulo, proposals will be accepted from principal investigators of ongoing FAPESP research projects within the following funding lines: Regular Research Project Awards; Thematic Projects; Young Investigators in Emerging Institutions; Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (RIDCs); Public Education Research Program; Research in Public Policies; and Research Program in Partnership for Technological Innovation (PITE). Co-Principal Investigators in ongoing Thematic, RIDC and PITE projects may also submit proposals. At the University of Michigan, the call is open to faculty members and researchers who are assistant, associate or full professors, research professors or research scientists, or clinical faculty engaged in research. The maximum duration of each project is 24 months. All proposals must be submitted by April 1, 2014.
