The Latin American Association for Asian and African Studies( ALADAA) will hold its 10th Congress between 26th and the 29th of October at the Cândido Mendes university in Rio de Janeiro, with the theme Culture, Power and Technology: Africa and Asia face Globalization. There will be on the agenda questions such as the State, democracy, multiparty politics and current conflicts; technological changes, work and labor unions, international cooperation between the three continents, African and Asian history, as well as art, literature, culture and religion.
