Food and guilt

Women diagnosed with bulimia nervosa say they choose food based on decisions related to health or the search for an ideal body, while volunteers who are not at risk for eating disorders emphasize food taste and the pleasure derived from eating. The findings are published in a study conducted by researchers at the University of São Paulo School of Public Health (Appetite, June 1, 2017), based on a standardized questionnaire. The data pointed to dissatisfaction with body image in 82% of participants without eating disorders and 93% of those with bulimia.
