Silent discourse of the slaves

In the 19th Century, 1 million slaves were traded through the Valongo Wharf, in downtown Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This story started being uncovered when remains were found during renovations in the area for the 2016 Olympic Games. Now, transdisciplinary work including historians, archaeologists, geneticists and pathologists may finally bring light to one of the most terrible crimes ever commited: slavery.
