Almost 1 million people regularly smoke electronic cigarettes, known as vapes. Even though they are banned in Brazil, they are readily available and are used by a portion of the population aged 18 to 34 years old. Its mass usage goes against the proposed function of helping to quit smoking: they lead more people, mostly young, to smoke.
